Handcrafted ceramic cremation urn.

Initial inspiration for this design was the patterns created by the moth grub patterns in Australian Scribbly Gum trees. This pattern has now been abstracted into the unique designs that emerge from the studio - one by one.

The exterior of this urn is unglazed and polished to a silky smooth finish creating a lush, rich feel in the hand.
The squiggles have been inscribed by sgraffito technique and carefully inlaid with a metallic glaze with hints of gold and bronze in the sunlight. The timber lid is a snug fit with silicone ring sealer for added confidence to keep the ashes safe. Lid can be inscribed- contact me to discuss.
